With today’s technology movies aren’t just a big screen event anymore. High speed internet and high definition computer monitors have made it possible for us movie fans to select a film or video we want and watch it instantly. The great thing is there are many independent film people making a smart choice and using this power to share their visions via the Web. The Sci-Fi Thriller web series “Advent” is such a story.

In the first episode we find our main characters, Valerie Rose (Kimberly Willess) and Jared Samuels (Tony Basile) in quite a tricky situation. The man has a gun held to his head and the woman, who is held in handcuffs that emit a rather cool electrical effect, are on their knees face to face. The villain, who goes by the name of “Drake” wonderfully played by David H.Lawrence XVII, is a real hard ass. Just the fact that he has only one name makes him intimidating. He is to bad guys what Sting and Bono are to music.

Why are they about to be executed? Who are they, and what is their connection? Why is Drake being such a……….well……..BAD GUY? Keep watching as we go back 12 hours earlier and learn what and why this is all happening. “Advent” has a great cast and a really cool story line that still leaves you with questions as it ends cliffhanger style into the next episode.

The first episode is 15 minutes long with episode number two soon to be posted. The show is produced by Kimberly Estrada (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1538997/) who is also an actress in the series. Well shot with some cool cinematography and special effects “Advent” will surely appeal to all you Science fiction – thriller fans.

The series is currently being shopped around to the TV networks so fan their page and help launch what could be the next big science fiction show on good ole’ regular TV.
