KILLER EYE: HALLOWEEN HAUNT (2011) Monster/Sci-Fi Horror Movie Review

Without doubt, I would say Charles Band is a Godfather when it comes to Indie Horror, as he has been involved with making movies for 40 years, so therefore I was eager to have this one as, Charles Band produced and directed it…

Now I am sure I don’t have to introduce Charles Band and his style of movies, as I am sure you have watched one at some stage so to basically describe them, they are often obscure, even strange with weird creatures or toys that seem to come alive and attack their human victims…

Now regards this movie, it is supposed based around, Jenna (Erica Rhodes) and her friends, Giselle (Olivia Alexander), Rocky (Chelsea Edmundson), Catalina (Adriana Madix) and Kiana (Lauren Furs). Jenna had invited her friends over to help decorate the mansion ready for Halloween and offers a party with plenty of booze…

And while they do a movie is to be watched and of course what is more appropriate than the original, Killer eye movie and while it is watched, a replica eye from the movie is taken from a box and yes you guessed it, of course it comes alive and begins zapping the girls, either through possession or destroying them…

Now let me warn you there are scenes of sexual nature and nudity within this movie, in which are pointless in driving the movie forward, a movie that I felt lacked direction, though what I found interesting was the sets within the film, such as the creepy clowns and weird toys, evil looking masks and other freakish stuff that are littered around the house…

It leaves me to say that I was left feeling disappointed after this movie, definitely not Charles Band at his best, I would say to you only watch this movie if like me your a diehard Charles Band fan, but still expect to feel deflated, apart from the great sets…
