This Friday the 13th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment releases the FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION box sex, featuring all 12 films and a bonus disc. I was able to get my hands on a copy and I’m a huge fan of this series and was eager to add this to my collection of horror Blu-rays.

Immediately, the packaging for this series is appealing. The films come in a tin case that features Jason Voorhees on the cover. It is something that you want to own as a fan of the franchise, but it gets better. When you open the case, you get a 40-page color booklet that covers the history of the series and a Camp Crystal Lake embroidered Counselor patch.

The discs are displayed well in a book, each featuring a scene from the film. Below is a breakdown of the discs that you get with this collection:

• Disc 1 – Friday the 13th (1980)
• Disc 2 – Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)
• Disc 3 – Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3D (1982)
• Disc 4 – Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) NEW TO BLU-RAY
• Disc 5 – Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985) / Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986) NEW TO BLU-RAY
• Disc 6 – Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988) / Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) NEW TO BLU- RAY
• Disc 7 – Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) / Jason X (2002) NEW TO BLU-RAY
• Disc 8 – Freddy vs. Jason (2003)
• Disc 9 – Friday the 13th (2009) (Theatrical Version and “Killer Cut” Extended Version)
• Disc 10 – Killer Bonus DVD Disc

The films look great on Blu-ray and this set is full of extras, including deleted scenes and alternate scenes. You get to see what the filmmakers wanted you to see before the MPAA got their claws into it. In FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VII: THE NEW BLOOD, you get to see the gore that they wanted to put in along with the ending that they envisioned. This is common with every movie in this set. You get to see more of the films that you love and you get to see them in high definition. I own many of these on DVD and there is no comparison when you watch them side by side. They really made these films look great and the special features will keep you busy for a long time.

If you are a Jason fan, you really can’t do any better than this. There was a lot of thought that went into this set and it is a collector’s set. I grew up with in the 1980s and grew up watching these films and to be able to watch them all, learn the back stories and see the footage that I’ve never seen before is a great thing for a FRIDAY THE 13TH fan. I’ve always liked the metal cases that they use for collector’s set and this one is the nicest I’ve seen. It’s a treasure chest of slashing goodness. You also get digital versions of all 12 films with Ultraviolet, giving you the chance to watch these films on your smartphone, game consoles and more.

FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION box sex is released this Friday by Warner Bros. Entertainment and is well worth the price. You can own it on Blu-Ray by clicking here and go to the Facebook Page and like the page. Get your ticket to Crystal Lake and get this collector’s set.

Rating: 10/10 – A Great Collection
