Five Great Horror Picks – Little Known Gems

Horror movies have always been underrated.  They’ve been frowned upon and ignored.  Here are a few that have been thrown to the back-burner and are all but forgotten.  Certainly, if you haven’t seen them –

5)   The Midnight Hour: A made-for-TV movie that packs a punch.  Though it only has a few real scares – it has a great plot, an assortment of monsters and fantastic acting:

4) Don’t Go to Sleep: Another made-for-TV movie that hits hard. Unlike, Midnight Hour, this one creeps the hell out of me. Great movie!

3) Hack O Lantern: I saw this one recently. This one if fun and more fun. If you haven’t seen it – seek it out. Watch it on Youtube if you need to!

2) Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things: Do you want to see someone marry a corpse, homosexual necrophilia, and a bunch of freaky zombies that get on a boat? Then this film is for you. It predates the Evil Dead and in my opinion is a superior movie. It’s quite clear that Evil Dead borrowed much from it.

1)Homicidal: With an ending as shocking as Psycho, William Castle brought us Homicidal which is just as interesting but extremely underrated. This one is currently on Netflix and should be viewed by any horror fan.
