Author Marx H. Pyle assembles lots of helpful information in his book “Television on the Wild, Wild Web”. The book teaches anyone how to create a web series from concept to distribution. The book can be used by filmmakers of course, but it is also aimed at marketing folks and business people who may want to think outside the box to promote their service or product using a web series.

The book is broken into 8 chapters, each of which cover a different step involved in the web series creation process. Chapter 1 – “The Perfect Brainstorm” digs into the process of thinking about what your web series will be about. How many episodes? What should the title be? By the time you are at chapter 4- “The Quest for Talent” you will be looking for the talent, that is the actors and crew for your series. Jump to chapter 6- “The Many Paths of Distribution” and you are learning how to get people to actually view your finished short. By the time you get to the end of the book you will be ready to begin the process all over again.

“Television on the Wild, Wild Web” is a pretty quick read but is loaded to the hilt with great information and hundreds of resources to continue your journey in the web series market. With the entire world carrying cell phones in it’s pockets and tablets in their messenger bags why not capitalize and create your own web series? Who knows, maybe you’ll even make a few bucks in the process. Pyle makes you ask the question “What do I want from this?”. Whether you want fame or fortune he walks you through the steps needed to help you reach your goal.

Don’t feel lost in your quest to make short videos and films. Marx H. Pyle is here to help with his new book “Television on the Wild, Wild Web”. I enjoyed reading it and learned a great deal about something I had never really considered; Creating content for the web. Grab your camera and a copy of the book and start making your mark on the web. I highly recommend it.
