FANtastic Film Festival Launched: Horror Film Festival in the San Diego Area – HORROR MOVIE NEWS

Geno

FANtastic Film Festival announced today that they will host a Horror Film Festival in the San Diego area October 31 – November 2, 2014.  Horror films of all genres will compete for honors and awards in areas, such as “Best Actor,” “Scream Queen,” “Best FX,” “Best Horror Film,” and many other horror-specific categories.

Independent Filmmakers from across the country and overseas are invited to submit their films for consideration.

Speaking about the Festival, co-organizer Michael Thomas said:  “Even though Los Angeles and Hollywood are only a couple hours away, the citizens of San Diego deserve a horror festival they can call their own.  The FANtastic Horror Film Festival will be primarily for the fans of the Horror genre, so that filmmakers can show their works to distributors, of course, but we want the fans to get a first crack at the best the Independent Horror Community can produce.”

ABOUT the FANtastic Horror Film Festival

The FANtastic Horror Film Festival is dedicated to providing an outlet for Independent Horror Films with a focus on movie viewers and the filmmakers. For three days, San Diego will be the Horror Capital of the United States, and plans to “own” Halloween.

A couple dozen films and as many shorts will be presented over a three day period to the fans of Horror in San Diego. Film Distributors are invited to review the best in Independent Horror, and more important, Horror Fans will have a Party!

This is a festival and a showcase, yes, but this will be for the fans!
