The Hook of Woodland Heights (1990) – BBQ Fork Slasher HORROR MOVIE REVIEW

An escaped mental patient is on the loose and is going on an all-out killing spree. He has a missing hand that he has replaced with a BBQ fork and is about as over the top crazy as they come. He almost acts as if he knows that you are there and gives you, the viewer, a crazy look to terrify you. Actually, I laughed throughout most of this…it was very amusing.

The film is very simple. It would probably be considered a terrible movie if it weren’t so amusing, but the entertainment value is high and if it’s entertaining, it’s good.

The hook killer is chasing and the would be victims are hauling ass until the killer gets his….or so we think. The ending is just priceless. I watched it several times and encourage you to make it to the end before you pass judgment. It gives THE SIXTH SENSE a run for its money!

THE HOOK OF WOODLAND HEIGHTS is a short film of about 45 minutes and if you are a low budget slasher fan, you will really enjoy this. I recommend it.
